Agency launches new division to take event management ‘to the next level’

Event planning and production agency mclcreate has added a new string to its bow with the launch of a Delegate and Event Management division.
The new division encompasses a variety of client and delegate needs, including sourcing locations for conference and off-site dinners, recruiting speakers and entertainment, managing suppliers, building a social agenda and handling travel logistics for individual delegates. 
Two new hires will help deliver the extra layer of tailored service. Rebecca Jansson and Roslyn Rooney have two decades of combined experience in the field of delegate and event management.
The company itself has been in the events business for 25 years. The new service and fresh team have been brought in ‘to help clients take their events and delegate journey to the next level.’
Tim Spencer, managing director of mclcreate, explained the reasoning behind the introduction of the new service:
Every client and every event has differing needs and unique challenges. We have rolled out Delegate and Event Management as a fully-fledged offering, so we can now focus on providing personalised help with the intricate details and practical touches.”
Rebecca Jansson, head of the new division, added:
Effective delegate management is about getting a detailed knowledge of exactly what the client and delegates need, and delivering it to a high standard; whether it’s coordinating 100 delegates into their individual session groups, rearranging flight transfers for attendees, or sourcing specialist equipment at a moment’s notice.  We are looking at how the delegate journey can move with the times. It’s an exciting time for us and for the events industry!
Rebecca has travelled extensively working within this field, catering for events of up to 1,000 delegates in destinations from Cyprus to South Africa. Her 13 years of experience has exposed her to a number of different industries, including oil and gas, pharmaceutical and finance.
Colleague Roslyn Rooney draws on a background in marketing, and nearly 7 years in varied events across sectors including retail, leisure, charity and utilities.
She commented:
I really enjoy the start-to-finish process – going from initial concept all the way through to the final execution. Knowing the client’s motivations and brand values is crucial to delivering a great experience that fits their needs and personality.  The world is changing and the way people manage and attend events is changing too.
A recent event saw the new service put into action as 330 sales managers met for a 3 day conference in Bristol, 60 staff met for an awards dinner in Oxford and 200 delegates met for a kick off meeting in Tenerife, all relying on mclcreate’s Delegate and Event management team to coordinate their event needs.
