The company recently supported Steve Hutchison, Health and Safety Manager, in completing a level 3 BTEC diploma in Construction and the Built Environment (Civil Engineering) at New College Nottingham, building on his 2014 achievement in gaining the CMIOSH (Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner), another well recognised industry qualification.
On top of the new qualification, Steve was awarded the prestigious Endeavour Award from the college for hard work and dedication to the course and learning. This commitment is reflected in his work at mclcreate.

I was determined to make the most out of the training that mclcreate gave me the opportunity to undertake, for my own personal development and the offering of the company. There are so many considerations when working in a new venue, or with new equipment or contractors, and I am delighted to be further developing my skills when dealing with these scenarios to ensure a safe experience for all.” commented Steve Hutchison.
This course allows Steve to now calculate lift loads to meet legal requirements. This gives reassurance for complex lifts that you are within the ability of the equipment you are using and the venue you are at.
