Jill Leake appointed Client Development Director at mclcreate
Jill Leake, formerly, Head of Sales Development at Royal Mail, has joined mclcreate, the UK's largest integrated live events company, as its new Client Development Director.
"Everything we do at mclcreate is client driven", says Tim Spencer, the company's CEO. "Jill's appointment epitomises these core strengths within our business. She shares our passion for live events and brings a rich and valuable client perspective that will be a huge asset to mclcreate and to our clients and our own business. Her appointment is at once a significant statement of where we stand as a business today and a serious declaration of the intent behind our future direction."
In a varied career, spanning more than 30 years, Jill's experience embraces diverse roles in theatre, publishing, marketing and communications both with agencies and large corporates. She began with Royal Mail in 1988 as Head of Communications Services, and has enjoyed multiple roles across communications and sales in her time at the organisation. She first started working with mclcreate in her role as Senior Account Manager, and then Head of Client Services within Royal Mail Communications Services, RMG's in-house creative agency. It was here that Jill honed her leadership and commercial skills, coaching and developing her Account Managers to both achieve their targets and win new business. Most recently as Head of Sales Development, Jill has built and developed an award-winning team of professionals, enabling the sales team to retain and win new and existing business through compelling propositions, insight, sales leads, campaigns and referrals. She is a member of The Institute of Leadership and Management and the Association of Professional Sales.
"mclcreate is a special live events business that's in great shape for the future," adds Jill. "Having worked with the company for many years on many different projects, I understand its DNA, its creative and production capabilities and the fantastic talents of its people. I'm looking forward to building on these core strengths and, using my experience, connections and client-side knowledge to drive more growth for mclcreate in the future."
Jill is the second senior management appointment at mclcreate, following its successful management buyout from the NEP Group, Inc. in September 2017. She joins Neil Lawson, who took over as Managing Director at that time and has a background in senior positions at HSBC and in high level business consultancy. Jill will work closely with Neil and CEO, Tim Spencer, to develop new business, build stronger and deeper client partnerships and implement an effective training and mentoring strategy at all levels and business locations.
