mclcreate delivers Courageous Kids Awards 2015
Thursday, 26 November 2015
Launched to celebrate the achievements of children who have overcome trauma and upheaval, the evening was a glittering ceremony held at the University of Birmingham’s Great Hall.
The creative concept for the event was ‘Tappy Town’, inspired by the child support organisation Tappy Twins. Conceived and created by mclcreate, Tappy Town was visually represented through a striking set build.
mclcreate also took ownership of lighting, sound and format, providing a project management team to oversee all elements of production.
A custom-built PA system was installed for the awards ceremony, designed to overcome the acoustic challenges of the cavernous Great Hall.
A turnaround time of only five months created added pressure, but working closely with the client and the venue, the mclcreate team was able to deliver the glamorous and impactful event required.
Jo Jeffries, co-founder of the Courageous Kids Awards, said:
“From their stunning creative vision in our early meetings, through the organisation process, to the magical night itself, mclcreate single-handedly ensured our event was the 'talk of the town,' and a real 'wow' experience for our award winners and our audience.”
Suzanne Skeete, also a co-founder, added:
“We would not want to consider using anyone else for future events and will continue to promote mclcreate’s exceptional service to everyone that will listen. We look forward to a very long relationship with everyone at mclcreate.”
