Event company mclcreate has delivered a conference for the UK’s track operator Network Rail, hosted at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
The one-day event brought together over 300 delegates from Network Rail’s key suppliers, for a briefing on crucial safety changes designed to avoid injury and fatality.
Extreme weather conditions over recent years have brought public attention to the vital importance of safely maintaining railway infrastructure.
Themed ‘Planning and Delivering Safe Work,’ the event was delivered jointly by mclcreate’s London and Birmingham offices, and was part of Network Rail’s ongoing safety and maintenance programme.
Matt Voigt, Project Leader at Network Rail, said:
“The Planning & Delivering Safe Work Programme is the highest profile change project within Network Rail and will affect over 100,000 personnel. It was therefore vital that the Programme Team were able to communicate these changes effectively to our vast Supply Chain, and thanks to the professionalism of the mclcreate team we were able to achieve this.”
“The short lead in time for the event did not faze the company, who maintained excellent communications with the project team to ensure that everything was in place to allow for a smooth, professional and well executed event.”
mclcreate was previously appointed to the Network Rail events framework and has delivered a number of projects including the Victorian Carnival launch of King’s Cross Station.
The company is currently working through the planning stages of another public-facing, outdoor Network Rail event, scheduled next month.
