mclcreate gets engaged

Thursday, 22 September 2016 mclcreate Edinburgh

Live communications company, mclcreate, has appointed Mark McGauchrane as Head of Engagement, creating an exciting new division to share the company’s expertise and know-how as effectively as possible with clients.

As Head of Engagement, Mark’s role will be to promote the new company direction, focusing on strategic development of client relationships and highlighting the creative side of mclcreate’s offering.  Having worked in a freelance role, Mark now returns to mclcreate following success in Senior Producer positions. He has built on this initial experience and brings his considerable talents, creative thinking and tech knowledge to this new role, fresh from delivering a range of successful live events including T in the Park, Edinburgh International Television Festival and Australian Music Festival ‘Big Day Out’. Mark’s team has previously been nominated for the PRCA (Public Relations Communications Association) Best Internal Communications Event and was awarded the Best Communications Event by the Scottish division of the IOIC (Institute of Internal Communications). Mark will be based at mclcreate’s newly expanded operation in Edinburgh.

“We are delighted to have Mark back in the team to head up our new division,” comments Tim Spencer, Managing Director at mclcreate. “It has created a new opportunity not only for Scotland but the whole mclcreate organisation. Clients based north of the border can cut out the middle man-style agency and take advantage of the expertise and know-how at mclcreate to engage fully with their audiences and guarantee cost effective, intelligent and robust live event deliveries.”

“mclcreate is on the cusp of something great,” adds Mark. “The company puts communication and partnerships first for its clients in a way that keeps the event and its messaging fresh, appealing and engaging for audiences. We’re pushing boundaries in this industry and I’m looking forward to being at the heart of this momentum shift in the live events experience.”

Mark will be working closely with another new appointment, Mike Donoghue, who has taken on the role of Senior Business Development Manager, also based in Edinburgh. The combination of Mark’s industry expertise and Mike’s experience in marketing and sales will create a powerful force ready to create communication solutions for mclcreate’s clients, existing and new.
