mclcreate partnership with FACT confirmed

Tuesday, 14 March 2017 Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) Wood Street, Liverpool

Live communications expert, mclcreate is delighted to announce its partnership with FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology), the UK's leading media arts centre based in Liverpool.

Offering a unique programme of exhibitions, film and participant-led art projects, FACT uses the power of creative technology to inspire and enrich lives. The award-winning FACT building is home to three galleries, a café, a bar, and four state of the art film screens showing the best in independent and mainstream film.

The move will see mclcreate support FACT’s aspirations of growth and continuity by embracing creativity and commercial success. As part of the partnership, mclcreate will provide FACT with bespoke sets, develop sales materials, promote the venue and drive the conversation with its visitors by creating innovative and engaging live communications.

"At FACT, creative technology is at the heart of what we do. However, technology is changing, the market is changing and FACT must change with it. As a charitable arts organisation with limited resources, it is imperative that we forge lasting collaborative relationships with commercial partners, who can provide complementary expertise, resources and networks to ensure that we can continue to deliver pioneering projects and world-class audience experiences. And they don’t come much bigger or better than mclcreate! We look forward to working closely with our new partners to extend and enhance both our events and service offering and our artistic programme.” comments Jo Wright, Executive Director at FACT.

“We believe that there is mutual benefit to this relationship,” added Tim Spencer, Managing Director of mclcreate. “The association with FACT demonstrates our creativity, and our involvement with the centre would demonstrate a technical excellence, allowing them to achieve bigger and better events than before. Both businesses would benefit from the combined strength derived from each other.

This would also give us a much desired base in Liverpool, an area that we see as having huge potential in the event industry, and allow us to closely support our clients in this area.”

A joint “Northern Showcase” of the latest mclcreate technology is set to be held at the venue over the coming months, and in the future both parties will be exploring the possibility of offering apprenticeships and mentoring.
