The Ricoh Arena
in Coventry has announced that it will be working with mclcreate
for another year, after the event company won a 12-month contract extension.
The large multi-purpose complex covers 40 acres, encompassing conference, banqueting, exhibition, hotel and sports facilities.
Since 2009, mclcreate has provided technical and audio-visual support to various events and functions taking place at the Ricoh Arena. The event company also has a sponsorship deal with the venue.
Liz Cooper, marketing director at Ricoh Arena, said: “We’re delighted the contract has been extended for mclcreate as a preferred AV supplier for another year, particularly given the development of mclcreate and its new, broader offering. Their expertise for our event clients fits perfectly with our values at the Ricoh Arena.
“The preferred partnership with mclcreate means event organisers have the option of using our on-site preferred supplier.”
This latest contract extension comes as mclcreate embarks on a new direction. The company, known previously as MCL Audio Visual, has expanded its offering into a one-stop shop to include event planning and management, as well as technology.
Tim Spencer, managing director at mclcreate, said: “The Ricoh Arena is a highly-valued partner for us. This contract extension means we can continue to work together to deliver great events for visitors at this superb venue.”
In Birmingham, mclcreate
recently expanded its exhibitions division, moving to a larger unit to help meet the demand for exhibition management within the Midlands region and nationwide.
