TfL Appoints mclcreate to it's Events Roster
Sunday, 04 May 2014
Transport for London (TfL) has appointed mclcreate to its Events Framework, awarding us the opportunity to run events for the Capital’s public transport operator.
In a highly competitive procurement process, a range of companies submitted tenders to deliver technical and event management services for TfL. The list of applicants was selected down to just five businesses on the basis of capability, economics and expertise. We were delighted to be one of those chosen.
Working on the railways
Over the next five years, TfL will make its calendar of conferences and events available to the five selected companies, who will then bid for each project.
TfL employs more than 25,000 workers, and the scope of events likely to be offered is broad, ranging from smaller functions to large-scale AGMs.
Tim Spencer, managing director of mclcreate, said:
“This is a great opportunity to work with one of the country’s key transport operators. We offer a one-stop shop for events, and are looking forward to combining our event management expertise and technical know-how for TfL.”
The win represents our second partnership with a large transport organisation. In 2013, mclcreate successfully bid in a similar tender process run by Network Rail. We have delivered three projects for Network Rail, including the opening weekend at King’s Cross.
