University of Glasgow awards three-year contract to mclcreate

Monday, 25 January 2016

University of Glasgowmclcreate has won a contract to provide technology and services to the University of Glasgow for the next three years.

The event services company emerged as frontrunner after a competitive tender process, in which they scored highly on project planning, service delivery and supplier capacity.

mclcreate are now the university’s sole provider of audiovisual technology, presentation equipment and audience engagement services.

Tracy Levy, Business Development Manager for mclcreate said:

“We’re absolutely over the moon to be working with the University of Glasgow. Despite coming into the tender process as an outsider having never worked directly with the university previously, we were able to demonstrate our value add proposition and were praised highly on the quality and detail of our pitch.”

Client feedback noted that price was an important consideration, but also that mclcreate was the best option in terms of broad service offering. Account management and staffing were also important factors, with the company scoring top marks on these key assessment criteria.

The new contract is worth £220,000 and gets underway with an awards dinner at the University of Glasgow’s Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery. After the initial three years have elapsed, there will be the option to renew the contract for a further twelve months.

mclcreate has previously delivered events at the University of Glasgow campus for other clients, including the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research.

The company now looks forward to embarking on new projects with Glasgow’s historic institution as 2016 unfolds.
