mclcreate fits just right for Harris to Paris
The Clo’ Mor, From Harris to Paris exhibition marks the journey of the Harris tweed to the couture houses in Paris.
The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay visited the exhibition to explore how the traditional craft of ‘The Big Cloth’ is kept alive and consistently desirable to the global fashion industry. A collaboration between a Scottish creative group including art director Malcolm Buick, writer Mike Benson and photographer Martin Scott Powell, the event was also used to launch the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival. mclcreate was brought on board to assist MSP Studio in the smooth running of the exhibition.
In order for the exhibition to be successful the opening had to be impressive, and MSP Studio called on the expertise of live communications expert mclcreate.
Tasked with providing projection, up lighters and a PA system, mclcreate was perfectly suited to offer state of the art technology to the venue. Set panels were dressed in Harris Tweed fabric to continue the unique theme of the event, and the projection documented the journey of Harris Tweed to help bring the exhibition to life.
