mclcreate brings together a 600 strong sales team for a kick-off sales conference
Bringing together a 600 strong sales team from across the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland for a business-focussed, motivational and enjoyable conference experience may sound like a logistically impossible as well as a creatively challenging task. Event experts, mclcreate, stepped up to the plate for this blue-chip pharmaceuticals company with an event that brought the entire team together and ticked all the boxes for professionalism, imagination and delegate engagement.
Briefed to provide a complete event management and creative solution for the day, mclcreate knew exactly how to take all the pain away from the client before, during and after the conference.
In the build-up, mclcreate’s Delegate and Event Management team provided vital support with venue finding, contract and rate negotiations, pre-event supplier management, on-site dinner theming and planning, VIP transfer management and on-site registration and management services. Meanwhile, the company’s specialist in-house creative studio worked closely with the client to devise the visual themes for the conference and translate this across all materials. This included creating a powerful opening and closing video montage to tie in with the client’s mission and objectives, as well as making the delegates eager and ready for the sessions ahead.
At the event itself, mclcreate’s experts liaised with the Hilton’s internal sales and event team to ensure the venue met all the client’s requests. With mclcreate focussed on the smooth-running registration, organisation and management of all 600 delegates, creation of themed dinners for each evening, and sourcing and managing of all third party suppliers, the client could relax and focus squarely on the key messages and content for the conference.
mclcreate realised two different thematic evenings to entertain and engage delegates. On the first night, they built a special play area, including arcade games, complete with creatively lit bars and a ‘street food’ themed menu.
After the closing session, mclcreate managed another transformation, this time turning the conference space into a Cirque De Soleil-themed awards dinner room. This was achieved by draping the whole room, changing all the tables and chairs, installing a mixture of acrobat-styled LED centrepieces and changing the look and feel of the staging in double quick time. Laser lighting streamed across the haze filled room, and live acrobats provided the evening’s entertainment.
Once the awards dinner finished, delegates moved on to another mclcreate imagined space. Here, they could enjoy a cool club vibe with white chesterfield furniture, LED chandeliers and LED up-light ice sculptures to provide some focal points - the perfect area to party the night away.
Hugely impressed by their experience, this pharmaceuticals giant has since contracted mclcreate to take on the event management for its 2017 sales conference. Our planning has already begun!
