mclcreate delivers Scottish Labour Party Conference 2017
For the Scottish Labour Party Conference 2017, our client talked to us about the need to make a strong, visual impression and back that up with an integrated, professionally delivered technical production.
Taking place under the critical gaze of the media, this high profile event over three days at the Perth Concert Hall featured important speeches from Scottish Labour Leader, Kezia Dugdale, Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
As the live event experts, it was our job to make sure that the production ran as smoothly, consistently and effectively as possible for conference delegates packed inside the arena, and for an audience of millions watching around the world.
With over 25 years experience providing solutions for large scale events our team led by Gordon Mackinnon created an impressive set for The Scottish Labour Party. mclcreate provided a 12m x 3.37m widescreen solution using our Panasonic PT–DZ13K HD projectors. We used our Panasonic HD cameras to provide a live screen relay which we then vision mixed, recorded and routed to the auditorium screen, venue foyer, live web stream and a variety of broadcasters.
The in-house audio and lighting systems were augmented with mclcreate equipment and our technicians worked with the venue staff to ensure a seamless integrated service for our client. mclcreate worked with Scottish Labour to design the production look and feel including slide and video content with full 3.2:1 aspect ratio video backgrounds.
